Barrel aged series 2023

Barrel Aged Series is a unique series of cask-aged spirits released every year at Christmas, starting December 2023!

This is a project where three crafts meet: the craft of making high-quality spirits, the craft of cask ageing for a flavour of its own, and the craft of creating a unique design. Each year we release a new batch — the spirit will vary, and so will the cask and the design on the bottle.

What stays the same is that every year's batch is aged for AT LEAST one year in cask, and the spirit going into that cask is the very finest distillate we draw off.

The 2023 Barrel Aged Series is a local collaboration between us, Per Ädel from Varberg, who handles the cask ageing, and Emil Karlsson from Falkenberg, who is behind the wonderful design.

The spirit in this year's batch is the very finest cut from the distillation of our dry gin, laid down in cask.

The cask it rested in comes from Per Ädel (founder of A-bay spirits) and is an eight-year-old rum cask from Panama. The spirit spent 19 months in the rum cask, then a month in steel tank before bottling.

The design for 2023 is by Emil Karlsson (EMKA DESIGN), who has worked with brands such as TESLA and ZALANDO.
